Teaching Parents to Parent
Many parents struggle with appropriately motivating, managing, and disciplining their child. The child who behaves irresponsibly at home will likely underachieve and misbehave at school. Helping parents learn to effectively manage their child’s behavior serves as a major benefit to the family, the child, and the school. Dr. Waldman has successfully taught parents behavioral methods of child management for over 45 years, as a school psychologist and clinical psychologist in private practice. In addition, this writer has presented this program, receiving extremely positive feedback, to school psychologists, school counselors, school social workers, and to psychologists, therapists, and counselors in private practice.
