Jungian Play Therapy – just the basics are explored in this webinar.  Every think that Jungian therapy is just too hard to understand so why bother?  Jungian Play Therapy theory provides such a powerful source of change and healing for the child that it is worth learning.  In this webinar the basics will be simplified. The structure of the pshye is two components - the Self and the ego.  As children experience trauma they experience deintegration or a fragmentation between the Self and ego.  When the ego has experiences that are overwhelming beyond the capacity to manage, the experience is shipped off to the unconscious.  This repressed material is called a complex.  The child heals through play as they bring the repressed material into a conscious awareness thereby having a safe engagement with the complex which then allows opportunity to renegotiate the trauma.  The therapist is the witness and container for this sacred experience.  See that wasn’t so hard!
