Introductions into a playroom, use of toys, limit setting, etc are many of the topics to be discussed. Understanding the power of the therapeutic space, the toys, and the relationships are an integral part of being successful with play therapy. This webinar will inspire you to continue to appreciate the power of our work and how simple things transform into tools to help children grow from their pain.

Ann is a licensed clinical social worker and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor who has 20 years of experience working with children who have experienced traumatic events.  Ann received her master’s degree from the University of Kansas’s School of Social Welfare. As an Adjunct professor at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas, she has taught play therapy courses for over twelve years . Ann has presented nationally and internationally on a variety of topics related to working with children who have experienced trauma. Currently, she is the President/CEO of The Childrens’ Place, an agency in Kansas City Missouri, that works solely with children 8 years and younger who have experienced abuse, neglect and trauma.
