I am a dedicated, congenial and genuine clinician with a wide range of training and experience, providing culturally-competent psychotherapy to adolescents, adults, couples and groups for almost 15 years. My specialized training includes Certified Clinical Trauma Professional status, with advanced EMDR certification in Dissociative Disorders and Parts Work. I provide a combination of insight-oriented and tool-based psychotherapies in a safe, compassionate and private environment. My approach is both culturally-sensitive and educational, allowing a client to achieve clarity on past patterns and hurts that may be hampering healthy connections in their current life. Clients are empowered with tools from CBT, DBT, EMDR and the 12-Steps to alter old patterns of thinking, feeling, perceiving and interacting. In my work with Orthodox Jewish clients, I will work closely with your psychiatrist, Rabbi, Rebbitzin, kalla teacher, dayan or askan for a well-rounded collaborative approach to your healing. Group DBT and Advanced DBT available.
I lecture to clinicians and students on a variety of topics including culturally sensitive treatment of Orthodox Jewish clients the treatment of clients with developmental disabilities, mental retardation and TBI as well as trauma and Borderline Personality Disorder. I also offer mentoring to individuals considering or beginning a career in social work, and students and clinicians wishing to improve specific skills.
