Dr. Rachel Fryman is a licensed clinical social worker in private practice. She works psychodynamically and draws upon evidence based approaches including but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, executive functioning skills coaching, and trauma informed treatment modalities.
Dr. Fryman earned her PhD from Smith College and is a graduate of Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University. Over the years, she received advanced clinical training, as well as taught and supervised master's level social work students and clinicians. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Fryman is a clinical social worker in the Learning Resource Program at Adelphi University and teaching in the MSW program at Wurzweiler. She has experience in community mental health at The Jewish Board's Boro Park Counseling Center and high school special education administration.
Dr. Fryman's expertise is in supporting individuals and families, especially with issues around executive functioning, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and/or other neurodiverse conditions. Due to Covid-19, she currently consults, and provides individual and group therapy virtually.
