Q. What browser is recommended to view webinars?

A. We recommend using  Firefox  or  Chrome. Safari for Windows and Internet Explorer are not supported.

Q. The video does not start. How do I start the Stream?

A. Click the play button (the triangle) that is in the middle of the video player

Q. I completed the webinar but cannot find my certificate

A. Click on the link at the bottom of the video player where it says “Get your certificate”. The certificates can also be found in the workshops and certificates pages on your account

Q. Will my regulatory bodies accept the certificate provided for continued education credits

A. The certificates provided are accepted by most regulatory bodies.  Please see the list of provided certificates on the bottom of each webinar page.  Make sure that you are aware of your states and disciplines regulations to ensure that you chose the correct certificate.  If you need assistance with this, Please feel free to email.

Q. I can not be present at the time of the live presentation.  Will I be able to access it at a later time?

A. If you are not able to view the webinar when it streams live, you may use the link to watch it at your convenience. All webinar recordings become available on the website about 24 hours after they stream live.

Q. How much time do I have to view the webinar?

A. You are allotted enough time to watch the webinar one time plus enough time to review most of the webinar a second time.  If for some reason you run out of time, do not worry, just reach out to us on the contact page.

Q. I purchased the webinar but am now being asked to pay again. How can I access the webinar?

A. You will need to login in order to access the webinar, you can do so by clicking on the “login to access it now” button. You can also access your webinars from your  account  page by selecting the  Workshops  tab.

This interactive course will provide education on ethics with use of the Code of Ethics as an ethical guideline. It will allow participants to take a step back and identify their driving force for making decisions. During this class we will define what ethics are and understand telehealth standards of practice and in-person settings. We will explore best practices for ethical decision-making, identify ethical dilemmas and develop professional boundaries to help prevent ethical violations. Clinicians will participate in group discussions on the use of ethical decision making models to help participants “Do the right thing!”

About the Presenter

Alesha Perkins is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia and North Carolina and a Certified Case Manager. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her Master of Social Work from the University of Central Florida. Alesha has over 20 years of experience in the social work field with vast knowledge in medical social work, child protective services, case management, mental health and substance abuse counseling. Over ten years ago, she began her instructional career providing trainings to dialysis providers. Since then, she has created and facilitated numerous trainings for mental and medical professionals, state and national organizations. She is an advocate for eliminating mental health disparities and provides education in minority communities to promote mental health awareness. She serves as the Mentorship Chair for the North Carolina Society for Clinical Social Work and is an active member of Toastmasters. Alesha is a former Clinical Director for a mental health agency and currently works for a health insurance provider as a Senior Program Manager. In addition, she provides clinical supervision, has a part-time private practice, and is an instructor for Perkins Medical Services which is owned by her mother a nurse educator. Perkins Medical Services has been in business for over 20 years and provides quality medical and mental health training to those who work in childcare centers, residential facilities, mental health agencies, etc.
