Moreover, attendees will gain insights into the neurobiological challenges inherent in reconciling trauma wiring with the prerequisites for healthy sexual expression, equipping them with practical strategies to navigate these complexities in clinical practice.

About the Presenter: Talli Yehuda Rosenbaum is an individual and couple's therapist, trauma therapist and certified sex therapist. She is an author of many published peer review articles and book chapters, and co-author of "I Am For My Beloved: A Guide to Enhanced Intimacy For Married Couples." She is co-host of the Intimate Judaism podcast

This practical and interactive workshop delves into trauma-informed sex therapy, equipping therapists with essential tools and techniques to support individuals and couples affected by a history of sexual trauma. Attendees will explore the foundational principles of sex therapy, including the PLISSIT model, with a keen focus on providing interventions that prioritize safety, boundaries, and non-coercion to avoid retraumatization. Delving deeper into the complexities of sexual trauma, the workshop addresses the unique challenges faced by partners of survivors and introduces expressive arts therapy as a powerful modality for addressing various sexual problems. Through a blend of theory, case studies, and hands-on exercises, participants will gain practical skills to navigate the delicate balance of healing sexual wounds while fostering intimacy and empowerment in their clients' lives.

About the Presenter: Shulamit Sperber, MAAT, is a dance movement therapist, certified sex therapist and a couple therapist, a PhD student in the Science of Sex research lab in Haifa University. Her research focuses on child sexual abuse and sexual functioning in adulthood. Shulamit also has regular column on YNET discussing sexuality and relationships.
