Paradoxical Interventions - It's Not What You Think

Paradoxical interventions (pdxi) are a counter intuitive approach that are successful when addressing treatment resistance. The method was regularly used by master therapists: including: Milton Erickson, Victor Frankl, Salvador Minuchin, Fritz Perls, Virginia Satir, and others. Due to its seemingly illogical nature, researchers were unable to define the underlying mechanism. However this course will unlock the mystery behind this powerful approach.
The counter-intuitive nature of the approach makes it unique in style and substance. The method is known for influencing rapid change in treatment-resistant clients that include: addictive and borderline personalities, compulsive disorders, and other volatile behaviors. Using videos and case examples we will provide a concise and simple understanding of this innovative approach.

Paradoxical Interventions have often been described as ‘miraculous’ at influencing rapid change. However clinicians often have trouble with its seeming illogical and counter-intuitive nature. The approach has been described as: absurd, disarming, humorous, mysterious, and provocative;  yet at the same time - deceptively simple. This seminar is ‘a must’ for any serious clinician.
