Special attention will be paid to evaluating the ethical implication of the use of AI into different aspects of mental health practice.

About the Presenter

Kathryn Krase, Ph.D., J.D., M.S.W., Principal Consultant with Krase Consultant and founder of Making the Tough Call is an expert on the professional reporting of suspected child maltreatment. She has authored multiple books and articles on the subject. She has years of experience consulting with government and community based organizations to develop policy & practice standards.

  3. Identify the ethical and legal concerns for using AI in mental health practice
  4. Utilize AI tools to support their professional practice effectively and ethically.

Introductions (5 minutes)
Introduction to AI (30 minutes)
This section will define artificial intelligence, and briefly outline the evolution of AI. A
framework to apply for ethical and legal considerations will be introduced.
AI in Mental Health Education & Practice (90 minutes)

This section will explore the ways that AI is currently used in mental health education
& practice.
