Certification Alignment Pathway (CAP)
Already certified with another professional body? The Certification Alignment Pathway (CAP) offers you a direct route to become certified through the International Association of Psychosexual Therapists (IAPST).
This pathway is designed to ensure that practitioners from diverse backgrounds are aligned with IAPST’s rigorous standards, ethical framework, and professional conduct. By completing the CAP, you not only strengthen your foundation in psychosexual therapy, but also gain access to the benefits of IAPST certification—global recognition, professional networking, and continued opportunities for growth.
What the CAP Includes
The CAP certificate, offered through the School of Sex Therapy, consists of five specialized courses. Each course provides 5 Continuing Education (CE) credits and combines 3 hours of live instruction with 2 hours of supplemental study material.
You’ll explore critical topics that bridge theory and practice, ensuring you are fully equipped to meet IAPST standards:
-
Ethical Theory for Psychosexual Therapy
-
Applied Clinical Ethics in Sex Therapy Practice
-
Contraception and STI Prevention in Clinical Sex Therapy
-
The Role of the Pelvic Floor in Sexual Health
-
Pharmacology and Psychosexual Therapy
