Thursday, April 30th, 2026   10:00 AM EDT -1:00 PM EDT
Lisa R. Connors,PhD, LCPC, LPC, NCC
$59.99

This presentation will NOT be recorded for playback review

This interactive training delves into the history of slavery and segregation and examines their lasting impact on today’s society. Participants will explore how these historical injustices have contributed to generational and racial trauma, particularly within African American communities. Through open dialogue, we will address topics such as colorism, microaggressions, and the four pillars of systemic oppression that continue to marginalize and dehumanize people of color. Clinicians will be encouraged to become advocates and allies—a voice for clients who are too often misjudged, mistreated, and misunderstood. Together, we will identify culturally responsive strategies to support healing and resilience, helping clients process and overcome the enduring “pain of the past.”
